Any questions?

We carry out identity checks on all our accounts.

These checks help us protect you from money laundering, by preventing people using false identities to open accounts.

Anyone who wants to open or use an account is asked for proof of their identity, their address, or date of birth.

We might still be able to help, you’ll need to pop into your local branch and talk to us. You can find your nearest TSB branch at tsb.co.uk/branch-locator

This is because we don’t have a verified address for you, which is why we’re asking for an independent verification of your address.

We can accept internet printed utility bills as proof of address, as long as they’re accompanied by a government issued document with a photograph (i.e a passport).

You can find a full list of acceptable address verification documents at tsb.co.uk/proof-ID

You’ll need to update these details with us as well. Find out how to update your personal details.
