Any questions?
To make sure it's you who's trying to register the device, we'll give you the option to complete the verification by SMS or by calling TSB on the displayed number.
If you choose SMS, we'll send a verification code to the mobile number registered to your account. All you need to do is enter the code in the Wallet app.
13-15 year old customers may not be presented with a One Time Password (OTP) to complete Apple Pay registration. This could happen for a variety of reasons, but the most probable reason is because we don't hold an up to date mobile number for them.
Alternatively, they'll need to go into a branch to be verified, and then transferred to the telephone banking Apple Pay line. To do this, the child must have their parent with them as it's part of the Terms and Conditions of their account that all new services applied for must have a parent present.
Please note: 13-15 year olds do not have the option to complete registration through our Telephony Channel as it is only available to customers who are 16 years and over.
In stores
You can make contactless payments up to £100 per transaction in all stores offering the service, and there are some, like Apple, that’ll allow you to make higher value payments. If the contactless payment limit is changed from the default maximum, then this will become your new maximum limit for using Apple Pay in-store.
In apps
There's no upper limit.
There are millions of shops, restaurants, businesses, websites, and much more where you can use Apple Pay. If you see the contactless or Apple Pay symbols, you’ll be able to use Apple Pay.
If you have any questions or come across any issues with Apple Pay, you can find the information and support you need on the Apple Pay website.
You could do one of the following things if your device is lost or stolen:
- Call us immediately on 0345 975 8005 so that we can stop transactions on your account. Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Place your device in lost mode. If you've activated Find My iPhone you can suspend Apple Pay and your cards will continue to work
- Erase your device. Remove the ability for anyone to use Apple Pay by remotely erasing your device via Find My iPhone
- Prevent payments being made via iCloud. Suspend your card from being used with Apple Pay on the device by going to icloud.com/find - this will even work if the device is offline
In stores
- Look for participating stores displaying the contactless or Apple Pay symbol
- Check the transaction amount on the terminal or with the cashier - this won't show up on your device
- If you're happy, just hold your device close to the shop's contactless reader
- Put your finger on the Home button to activate Touch ID on your iPhone or double-click the side button on your Apple Watch
- And with a subtle vibration and a beep, your transaction's complete
In apps
Whenever you want to make an app or in-app purchase, just select Apple Pay as your payment method and place your finger on Touch ID. Done.
The first card you add to your Wallet app is automatically set as the default for all Apple Pay transactions.
If you wish to make your TSB account your default card, you can do so by going to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Transaction Defaults > Default Card.
You can use Apple Pay with most TSB current accounts and credit cards. The only cards that aren’t supported are:
- ATM Cards
- Under 19 accounts if the customer is 13 years old or younger
- Accounts with Control
- Additional card holder credit cards
If you have a new or replacement card, you'll need to activate it before Apple Pay can work.
Yes, Apple Pay acts the same way as your card – so you’ll still earn the rewards that come with your TSB credit or debit card.
