TSB appoints Adrian Barsanti as Chief Audit Officer
TSB appoints Adrian Barsanti as Chief Audit Officer TSB today has announced the appointment of Adrian Barsanti as Chief Audit Officer, from 3 February 2025, subject to internal governance and regulatory approval.
Adrian will replace Vanessa Swanton, who after nearly five years leaves TSB to join Phoenix Group in early 2025.
Adrian brings a wealth of experience as a purpose driven leader. He joined TSB in 2018 as part of the Audit leadership team and was later seconded to the Risk leadership team in 2024 where he played a pivotal role in evolving the Risk Management Framework and embedding a strong risk culture across the bank. Prior to TSB, Adrian held a number of senior roles across Audit for Sainsbury’s Bank and Credit Suisse.
Commenting on the appointment Judith Eden, Chair of TSB’s Audit and Risk Committee said: “Vanessa has played a crucial role in deepening a strong risk and control culture across TSB. We wish her all the best for the future.

Adrian is appointed TSB Chief Audit Officer from 3 February 2025, subject to internal governance and regulatory approval.
Adrian will lead the internal scrutiny of the work to deliver TSB’s growth strategy, working closely with the Board Audit Committee.
Adrian joined TSB in 2018 as part of the Audit leadership team and was later seconded to the Risk leadership team in 2024 where he played a pivotal role in evolving the Risk Management Framework across TSB. He has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, and prior to TSB led Audit for change and technology at Sainsbury’s Bank. He began his career in Audit at Credit Suisse.
